View dfas debt Form: What You Should Know

Financial Services. Department of Defense. Customer Care Center. The National Debt Collection Assistance Center (ND CAC) is responsible for debt collection actions on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). The Department of Defense's National Debt Collection Advisory Committee (ND CAC) has received numerous complaints concerning inappropriate collection practices by several of our federal partners. Many customers are troubled by the lack of clear notice that we collect on debts; also, the lack of understanding that debt collection must be a last resort and not the way that most people decide on payment arrangements for their various debts. According to the most recent Department of Defense budget, the DoD now collects on 150 billion of outstanding debts. This means that DoD has more debt than the entire GDP of the European Union combined, and that number is expected to increase as interest rates rise on government debt owed to the United States. A more complete description of the ND CAC is at: (click on the ND CAC to obtain a PDF file of the full description). Some of the DoD's debt collection partners are also in the process of closing or selling off most of their financial services, including debt collection. This has resulted in a loss of a valuable service that has been a source of revenue for many of the debt partners, and so, many have moved away from debt collection under the military. Some have also left the DoD entirely. We are also currently working to resolve the following issues: · The Department is working with a third-party company to develop an online payment system based on our own system that will allow individuals to set up a payment plan based on their financial situation. The system is currently in the testing phase and will be rolled out to many service members on a trial basis. · We are now requiring debt customers who do not live in a State that prohibits debt collection for debt that does not exceed 500 to use a state-issued VAR instead (unless they otherwise opt out of this service). The VAR is a paperless payment option that allows you to send payment instructions, and access your account in the time period required to complete the payment. It is also convenient on the battlefield for members who are out of communication with their financial advisor or other sources of income and need a payment option that will not delay our ability to help resolve the matter.

Applause. Music. Applause. I really enjoy serving the military and I go home at the end of the day feeling like I've helped someone and made a difference in their life. Everything that someone does here, where there are just four dudes, 15 matters because there are war fighters out there counting on us to do our part so they can do their part. If you have a passion to work for the government, you have a passion to work for service members. It's a great place to start because it's going to allow you the opportunity to develop, learn, and grow. Whatever your career field is, there's a culture within DFAS that is supportive of the warfighter, and that is, to me, phenomenal. The overall mission of Defense, what they do and the people they work for, the military, they do so much to make sure our military service members are paid on time and receive different benefits. Our retirees, they do all that stuff to take care of those service members, so I said, "Hey, I can directly relate to that because I'm a service member myself." I really thought that it was interesting and fun because we actually went on a trip to Camp Atterbury, and that was really cool because you get to see your customer and what they go through, and it shows how important our jobs are here at DFAS. Every person's job here at DFAS matters. It's like a ripple in a pond. Every person impacts the warfighter. If that's what you're looking for, DFAS will be a perfect fit. Whether you're working directly with military pay systems or working on some other system within DFAS, you're contributing to what DFAS does as a whole. Music.
